Course Description

This hands-on skill lab provides CCP nurse aide students with targeted practice and expert guidance to build confidence and competence in performing essential clinical skills. Designed to prepare students thoroughly for the practical portion of the Nurse Aide state exam, the lab offers a supportive environment to refine techniques, improve accuracy, and reduce test anxiety for successful certification.

Course Outline

•  Basic Patient Care Skills – Vital signs, hygiene assistance, feeding, and mobility support.
•  Safety and Infection Control – Proper use of PPE, hand hygiene, safe patient handling, and emergency procedures.
•  Communication and Professionalism – Effective communication with patients and healthcare team, ethical responsibilities, and documentation.

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this workshop participants will be familiar with:
Students will demonstrate proficiency in essential nurse aide skills, including patient care, safety, infection control, and effective communication. They will apply these skills confidently and ethically in a simulated clinical environment to prepare for the Nurse Aide state exam.
