Course Description

To 'adult' is to behave like an adult, specifically to do the things—often mundane—that an adult is expected to do. – Merriam Webster

Adulting is hard, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the most important parts of adulting is taking care of your overall mental and physical health. But we never really learn how to ‘adult’ for health, do we? You are invited to participate in a six-week virtual workshop led by our partners at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Course Outline

1. Mental health and well-being
2. Making doctor’s appointments and navigating insurance
3. Substance use
4. Nutrition

7. Sexual health

Learner Outcomes

Topics include, but are not limited to, mental health and well-being, making doctor’s appointments and navigating insurance, substance use, nutrition, sleep hygiene, physical activity, and sexual health. Upon completion of all workshop activities (during the workshop and following each workshop) you will receive an official Certification of Completion from the UCLA team.
