Course Description

The examination in Dental Hygiene consists of two examinations, the Computer Simulated Clinical Examination (CSCE) and the Patient Treatment Clinical Examination (PTCE) which is approximately 3.5 hours in length. The candidate must reach a 75% competency rate for passage. (Pre-Requisite: Participants must have graduated or are graduating within 45 days of examination from an ADA accredited dental hygiene school in the U.S. or Canada to be eligible.)

Learner Outcomes

This examination will assure current clinical knowledge and ability and assures the public that those who become licensed deliver dental care competently and safely.

Materials are provided to the candidates by the Commission on Dental Competency Assessment (CDCA).
