Course Description

About 90% of people will have a headache at some point in their life. Stress, poor sleep-hygiene, dehydration, and maladaptive body mechanics may all contribute to an increase in frequency or severity of symptoms.

In this 1-hour Path to Wellness Workshop, learn how to identify the difference between a tension and other types of headaches, effective self-care techniques to reduce muscle pain and tension, how to incorporate essential oils support headache relief, and what changes you can make to establish ongoing prevention strategies.

Course Outline

  1. Tension headache
  2. Name the muscles commonly associated with tension headaches
  3. Aromatherapy
    • Identify two essential oils helpful in addressing symptoms associated with tension headaches.
  4. Self-care massage routine to provide headache tension relief
  5. Self-care strategies for mind/body wellness that support decrease in severity and frequency of headaches

Learner Outcomes

Upon completion of this workshop participants will be familiar with:
