Course Description

This workshop, powered by the Institute for Community Engagement and Civic Leadership will offer community members an opportunity to learn firsthand from members of the judicial branch, about the constitution of the United States. Topics will include the court system, immigration, criminal and civil cases, voting rights and discrimination, and many more aspects of our government that every citizen should know.

Course Outline

  1. The introduction to the workshop will include the framework of the government.
  2. The workshop will include information about the courts, criminal law, immigration, voting rights, civil cases, civil discourse, amendments, voting rights and discrimination.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the course, students will be more informed about the operation of the United States government and about the rights of citizens.
