Course Description

This course introduces students to theatrical set design principles, scale drawing, and geometric construction techniques. Students learning through hands-on activities acquire and develop skills in measurement, proportion, angles, area, and 3D geometry. They will use drafting tools, carpentry equipment to design and build set elements and components for Jr. STEM Academy musical productions.

•    Identify the best methods for building structures
•    Demonstrate mastery of the imperial and metric measurement system
•    Identify various geometric shapes and their uses is engineering design
•    Identify steps of the design engineering process
