Course Description

Integrating Technology into the Adult Education Classroom (AEPP Workshop) is intended for instructors and/or tutors who want to learn to integrate technology into the adult education classroom. Participants will learn the POST and SAMR methods to guide technology integration and use the methods to develop lessons that improve students’ digital literacy skills. The workshop will include examples of how adult educators have used technology with adult learners and provide an opportunity for participants to explore different technologies that can be used while teaching academic and workplace skills. Participants will first practice integrating technology into an existing lesson plan, then develop a new lesson that integrates technology and implement the lesson with students. A coach will support participants throughout the lesson planning process. The workshop includes two mandatory webinars and two online meetings with a coach who will support participants’ technology integration.
